How you have been doing? My schedule has been pretty hectic for sometime now. But this week we are expecting guests at home and I am pretty excited and looking forward to some fun, frolic, and yummylicious veg recipes! Coming to today’s post…
Have you ever gone through a phase where you seem to take a liking for all colours, bring, bold, dull. and shiny? Well, I seem to be going through such a phase. Before getting married to G, I would wear no other colours except black, grey, and white (no, please don’t read it as boring). And now after marriage, I have all possible colours in my wardrobe, to name a few – red, orange, fuchsia, lime green, all shades of blue, pink, plum, etc. Does that indicate any kind of abundance? or deficiency? May be….
For now, let’s take into consideration another colourful thing – nah, I am not about any outfit here. It is a scrub from the brand, Jovees. It’s nice to see how comparatively smaller brands like this sell so many products catering to all skin types. And here again, the colour of the scrub influenced my purchase. See how beautiful it looks in the tube, a soothing combination white and green.
The packaging is sturdy yet flimsy. It is a plastic transparent tube with a white coloured cap. The tagline is impressive and reads like ‘Restores Suppleness; Improves Skin Elasticity’. Really? Okay let us accept it for now.
Coming to talk of the scrub, it is nothing like I cannot do without this scrub. It is not a must-buy for sure. It works decently. The green-coloured beads that are present in the scrub are quite mild and do not feel harsh on the skin. Again, acne-prone skinned beauties will love to hear this. They do a decent (read nothing extraordinary) job in removing the dead cells. The pleasant fragrance is something I really love. It has a mild fragrance, which is not overpowering and lasts only for a few seconds, okay minutes.
The scrub has a gel-like consistency. It does not have much of the soap content unlike some of the other scrubs so it does not lather well, which doesn’t bother me so much since the soapy scrubs leaves your skin feeling extra-dry, which I hate. Inexpensive? It is priced at INR 170 for 100g. Not really, but yes if compared to TBS or Lush scrubs. In that way, the quality differs like heaven and hell.
Recommendations? Well, well, not unless you have turned to be a maniac like me who seems to take a liking for all kinds of skincare products – expensive or inexpensive. Again, as I said before, it is not a must-have scrub but a decent buy.
Did you buy this scrub? How did you find it? Which is your favourite scrub? Share your words in the Comments section below.
Until we meet again, please take good care and keep it healthy!
